Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Basalt Grey 2.5L 903

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Basalt Grey, a durable and innovative protection for exterior wood surfaces. It is a base and top coat in one finish that dries fast, allowing the natural wood grain to remain visible. The finish is extremely weather and UV resistant, very water and dirt resistant, and resistant against algae, mould, mildew, and fungal attack. It also reduces wood swelling and shrinkage, has a microporous breathable finish that does not crack, peel or flake, and does not require sanding for future applications.

The product comes in various colours and finishes, with satin and clear (matte) options available. The recommended tool for application is either an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfiber Roller. The product is recommended for use on exterior wood surfaces, with one coat needed when signs of wear become visible. The drying time for the first coat is 4-6 hours, and the second coat requires 12 hours to dry.

The product can be cleaned up using Osmo Brush Cleaner, and one coat can cover approximately 26 square metres. The recommended number of coats is two, and the recommended care includes using Osmo Spray Cleaner for exterior surfaces, Osmo Decking Cleaner, and Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean for occasional maintenance.

Before applying the product, the wood surface must be clean, dry, and frost-free, with a moisture content of no more than 20%. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed, and if additional protection against blue stain, rot, and insects is desired, the wood can be pre-treated with Osmo WR Base Coat.

The product is applied thinly along the wood grain and spread well, with a trial application required for unfamiliar surfaces. Transparent colours are influenced by the natural colour of the wood and may deviate from sample colours, and light transparent colour tones offer limited UV protection and are not recommended for surfaces exposed to strong sunlight.
